Finance Appointments was engaged by the CFO of The Ocean Cleanup to ensure that the organization’s broader internal responsibilities were effectively managed and enhanced. This would allow him to dedicate more time to strategic initiatives and external focus, alongside the founder. Due to the year-end demands and the urgency of the situation, the company sought an interim Head of Finance for this growing scale-up.

Result: We provided a capable people manager who successfully improved management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, project reporting, financial reporting, month-end closing, payments, and the Oracle NetSuite system. He also led and motivated the small accounting team, ensuring a smooth transition for his successor to continue developing the finance function.
