The Financial Accounting team is an integral component of the Finance and Operations division at our client, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This team is pivotal in handling the consolidated financial accounting and reporting for our client and its subsidiaries and affiliated entities. About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Financial Accounting and oversee four direct reports. Responsibilities include leading the GL accounting area, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, and managing financial information for stakeholders. The role requires hands-on leadership, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to foster strong inter-departmental relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and approving the accounting of Invoices input by the AP team
  • Accounting and closing process:
  • Recording and validating all kinds of transactions and other information in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards using the accounting system (PeopleSoft). This includes bank bookings, investments, management fees, payroll, T&E, income and expense accruals and tax calculation.
  • Participating in month-end and year-end closing of management entities.
  • Reviewing monthly financial results of management entities.
  • Monitoring and reconciling the balances of the management entities.
  • External/Internal billing
  • Facilitating audits (Financial, SOX and ISAE)
  • Making recommendations regarding process and efficiency improvements, particularly focus on systems/tools

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, and planning.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a structured manner.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with proficient English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with data visualization tools and Macros is advantageous.
